I am who I am, and I make no apology for who I am or what I believe in. I also do not choose to hate people for what they believe (unless it’s harmful or something, but that’s beside the point). I was raised a Christian as a child and essentially made to believe by most authority in my young life that not only was there no other choice, but that everything else is in essence “the devil” and they’re all going to hell. Once I began thinking for myself on such things (around 3rd grade) and questioning what was fed to me, I moved away from it and don’t ever plan on changing my mind or heart without a fight. I’ve all but lost my own father for over 4 years so far because of his hypocrisy on this matter.
Christianity is factually one of the most religiocentric belief systems in the world, meaning adherents believe they have the one and only truth and everyone else is consequentially wrong. Every once in a rare while I’m told privately on Facebook by a Christian friend that something I posted “offended them” and that I should “be more respectful” (actually going so far sometimes as to accuse me of “always” posting such “hateful” stuff).
